Introduction

These Spot the Symbolism posts are brief looks at symbolism or things noticed during the week. They are not deep dive, just a collection of possible symbolism to be able to ascertain patterns over time or float a few thoughts on possible symbolism and patterns. Comments welcomed as to any decodes or thoughts.

They kept this quiet in the mainstream, a lightning strike blew the key out of St Peter’s hand.

On Sunday Dec 17 lightning struck the key out of St Peters hand on the facade of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of San Nicolas, North of Buenos Aires, Argentina. What is striking is that the event occurred on Pope Francis’ (Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s) birthday, the day before the publication of the “Fiducia supplicans” declaration which opens up blessings for gay couples. It was also in the Pope’s home diocese, Bergoglio was Archbishop and Cardinal of Buenos Aires!

So what symbolism can be read into that? An act of God against the Pope, taking away the key of heaven? or an act of God against the Catholic Church which is based around St. Peter?

The strike took out St.Peter’s right hand as well, and St, Peter is said to be at the right hand of god!

Serendipitously I have been researching key symbolism for other posts, or else I might not have clicked on the post.

What does all the key symbolism mean? This is some of the heraldry based on 3 keys.

I am interested in this logo.

This type of key is known as a skeleton key and this is the nomenclature for various parts of the key.

I would like to know what all this means, if anyone can help

I still do not quite understand who the two different factions in the synagogue were who were attacking each other. The place was Chabad Lubavitch and it was their world headquarters and they are extremely influential, meeting with each US President. This twitter thread reveals more [14].

    Each symbol have more that one meaning:
    1 – Key to knowledge.
    2 – Key as treasure chest
    3 – Key as hidden meaning for understanding the code phrase. Hivites always spoke the truth all we need is right key to see it.
    4 – Key as sign of owner. Example: Owner of a castle always carried the one.

    I don’t have the answers, but here are my musings.
    When I think about keys from a Biblical perspective, I think of governmental authority. Isa 22:22 says “And I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David; he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.” The ‘he’ here is Eliakim, who is a type of Messiah whose name translates to “he establishes” which indicates what he says comes to pass. The context around this verse is that Shebna who was the steward originally given the keys to(verse 15) apparently became the ultimate unfaithful servant (verse 19). Instead of taking care of his assignment properly, he instead loved the ostentations of the office. Eventually the Lord took the keys of the house of David from him and gave the keys to Eliakim.

    The pope as “head” of the church, is seen as the authority of the catholic church. So it is VERY INTERESTING – in the land of the Pope’s birth, on the day of his birthday Dec 17th, lightning strikes the hand and key of St Peter, the day before the publication of the declaration which opens up blessings for gay couples. Homosexuality is not what the Bible espouses, which you would imagine, the head of a church should not establish.
    In the prophecy of the pope, Malachi Martin indicates that the last pope is Peter the Roman and some believe that Pope Francis may be it or (like in Tom Horn’s pov), this pope is the transitional one to make the way for the last pope which will be the False Prophet (https://z3news.com/w/tom-hornpetrus-romanus-succeed-pope-francis/).

    Coincidentally (or is it?) 5784 in Jewish calendar is the year of the door (Rosh Hashana 2023 – Rosh Hashana 2024). You wonder, is it time for the keys to be taken away from this pope to be given to a “rightful steward”? Or is he transitioning the keys to another one that will be the false prophet of the Bible in Revelation?

    Regardless, whatever it means, the lightning strike seems to indicate a pivotal moment in this pope’s lifetime!

      Also… I was curious about how the Catholic church views Peter, so I did a quick google search, and these were the first two things that popped up from Britannica and Wikipedia…

      I see a lot of significance with the keys being knocked out by lightening, for Jesus is the one who holds the keys to Death and Hades. He said in Revelation…

      “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades…” (Revelatiopn 1: 17-18)

      It is through Jesus and Jesus alone that we receive salvation. The Catholic church has put all power and authority to the popes and priests. Only Jesus saves and forgives… no middle-man needed for Jesus is our mediator. And the Catholic church also misinterprets “rock” as being Peter when, in fact, the rock was in reference to the REVELATION Peter had on knowing that Jesus was the true messiah. Jesus Christ is the Rock!

      Sorry for my rambles or if any of this seems irrelevant. It’s a dreary, wet, January day and I’ve done nothing with it… so I guess I felt the need to share my little ol’ thoughts.
